2008 Camp Quality Harbour to Bay Walkathon
 

When – Saturday 31^st May and Sunday 1^st June 2008 6.30am for 7am start.

From – Addison St  Shellharbour – meet at boat harbour – car park.

To – Botany Bay (on beach in front of Novotel)

Distance – up to 100km

Duration of  walk – 2 days with overnight at Stanwell Park

Cost of Entry - $25 including T Shirt and bottle of water. – Full amount donated to Camp Quality

Charity – Camp Quality (children with cancer)

The walk will be divided into sections and participants can do part or all of it.  The entry fee is the same regardless of how far you walk.

Overnight stay at Stanwell Park – Make your own arrangements.

Day 2

Section 5. Stanwell Park to Bundeena - then ferry to Cronulla (32km) with refreshment stops

Section 6. Cronulla to Botany Bay (18km) with refreshment stops. (ferry $5.40 departs on the hour)

There will be a support vehicle (driven by Ruth) carrying water and basic first aid. Bags and personal belongings of the entrants can be left in this vehicle. Walkers can stop for refreshments as needed and walk at their own pace. It is suggested you bring a mobile phone and money. At a moderate pace of 5km / hour it will take 10 hours to do 50km (not including stops). Allow for two hours of stops each day and remember it gets dark at around 5.30pm.  The road through the National Park can be dangerous and bright clothing is a good idea.
